What is Panorama Format?
Panorama Format is type of VR contents. This open makes you to identify the formats of the panorama they have input very easily and selecting appropriate one to view the VR scene in an appropriate manner on the preview screen and in the application.
InstaVR supports all the major Panoramic used globally, such as Equirectangular, Cubemaps, or Fish Eye, etc.
Panorama Formats
360
360° Mono Spherical Equirectangular
Most Common VR contents format. You can make this VR contents by using most of 360 cameras such as Insta360 One, Ricoh Theta, Gear 360, etc. Pro level cameras such as Insta360 PRO, Kandao Obsidian supports ultra resolution such as 8K or 12K.
Typically the resolution is 2:1 or 16:9 such as 4096x 2048 or 3840 x 2160.

Pros
- High resolution than 3D
- Marker's depth adjustment is not used.
- Mobility 360 camera. It's around 4 inch or less (10 centimeter or less).
Cons
- Less immersive than stereo
Best Fit
- Play contents on non-headset devices such as desktop web, smartphone, tablet, etc.
- Contents is far away more than 5-10 meter from camera such as landscape.
- Immersive it not required contents such as location scout, real estate, etc.

360 3D
360° Stereo Spherical Top-Bottom
Immersive 3D VR contents format. You can make this VR contents by using 360 camera that has more than 6 lenses such Insta360 PRO, Kandao Obsidian, Vuze VR Camera 3D 360, etc.

Typically the resolution is 1:1 or 16:9 such as 4096x 4096 or 3840 x 2160. Top area represents left eye and bottom area represents right eye.

Pros
- Full Immersive Experience.
Cons
- Less resolution than mono.
- Marker's depth adjustment is required on some cases.
- 360 3D (stereo) camera is much bigger than mono. It's around 5-6 inch spherical.
Best Fit
- Play contents on headset devices such as Oculus Go, Gear VR, Daydream, Leveno Mirage Solo, Oculus Rift, HTC Vive,etc.
- Contents are in 1-5 meter from camera.
- Immersive required contents such as training etc.

Cubemap 12x1
Stereo Cubic: 12 x 1 Cubemaps
Typically the resolution is 12:1 such as 18432x1536. A.k.a. 1536sq.
